Feeling Strong, Confident and Energised as a Parent

It's so easy to get stuck in feeling perpetually exhausted and depleted in parenting this in turn can coincide with an identity crisis and a lack of confidence for many parents which makes sense but doesn’t serve us or our kids. In this chat between Conscious Parenting Coach Emily Hughes @findingflowparenting and Postnatal Strength Coach Rebecca Masters @strongmumsclubhq we will be diving into the link between feeling physically strong and mentally strong and how we can be more empowered and energised in our parenting Join journeys.

“Bounce back culture” has got it all wrong in relation to parenting and exercise as if we can just go back to who we were before having kids. Bounce back is not the aim because parenting is a lifelong journey which is meant to change us. We can't go back to where we were before but we can use parenting as a springboard for personal growth. Pregnancy and birth are deeply somatic experiences that change our relationships with our bodies but this can be the start of an empowering time to get more intune and aware of what our bodies are capable of. Feeling strong as a parent is empowering; solid and sturdy enough to ride the wild ride of life with small kids.

In this chat we will talk about practical steps to take to feel more mentally strong and physically confident.

How to get more energy in parenting- a topic that comes up a lot in Emily’s Coaching.

Emily will be sharing some strategies for overcoming overwhelm and overstimulation as a parent

We will also talk about the importance of strength training for perimenopause.
