September is often seen as a big reset month

Summers over, schools are back and it's new routines and potentially new goals.

in theory it all sounds great but then reality hits.

You're a mum and September also comes with a lot of other admin.

The to-do list explodes, the mental load doubles, and potentially all those healthy habits we usually manage without thinking — daily smoothie, morning workout, proper breakfast — quietly slip away.

Here’s what I'm learning...

When mum-life turns up the pressure, it’s these little self-care habits that we actually need the most.

They’re what help us deal with the overwhelm, boost our energy, and keep us feeling like ourselves.

  • Pouring a glass of water.

  • Eating a balanced breakfast.

  • Taking two minutes to JUST BE before tackling the next thing.

  • Getting outside for some fresh air daily.

These are all small acts but they add up to a big difference in how we feel and how we show up for our families.

So if life feel has been feeling a little chaotic recently, ask yourself:

What’s one small thing I can do today to look after me?

What's one small thing I can do to support my postnatal health?

For me, it’s been simple changes...keeping water by my desk, prepping meals, getting to bed earlier...

Easy to do, but just as easy not to do… and yet, they make all the difference.
